STYLE NO. 3464 : CAROL
The low stacked heel and leather sole are classic elements of a timeless shoe, and the Carol is made on our No. 108 last which features a clean almond-shaped toe and an elegant, feminine form. Style 3464 features the premium Oro Legacy leather, and has three-quarter Goodyear welt construction for good looks that will last for years to come.
THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE
What some call a Chelsea boot used to be called a "Romeo". We call it the Carol, and it's based on a women's boot from our 1934 catalog. The distinctive elastic gusset on the side is traditionally called "goring" and allows for easy on and off while still providing a snug fit.
OIL-TANNED LEATHER
S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for Oil-Tanned leather which is used to build a variety of timeless Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and perspiration resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-Tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 110+ year history.

I’ve purchased several pairs of boots from this business. Boots always arrive quickly and are neatly packaged. The Classic Chelsea is gorgeous and so comfortable. I recommend sizing half a size up from your usual size, because they run narrow in the toe box and the toe box also sits close to the top of your foot. The boots feel very light and more comfortable than laced boots bc there is no extra tension, from the laces, on your foot. Because of the pleasant experience I have had every time, I will continue supporting this family owned business.
Bought these for my fiancé and he absolutely loves them! Worth the $$$ and they break-in beautifully.
These boots are fantastic quality! The leather is smooth and supple, the the packaging is top notch. I wear a 6 or 6.5 in running shoes, depending on the brand, and ordered a 6 in these. I have plenty of wiggle room and the shoes fit comfortably snug width wise. Lengthwise I have about a thumbs width worth of room. They feel great. The buying experience was awesome!
If you have oil tanned leather shoes or boots of any kind, especially red wings you’re going to want this cream. This stuff is awesome. I use it on my red wing 875s twice a year.
i have been wanting a pair of these for awhile & decided to finally bite the bullet on that hefty price tag! they were absolutely worth it. the leather is so soft & luxurious. so pleased!
